By Divine choice and the favor of the Apostolic See, we belong or are related in one way or the other, to the Ecclesiastical territorial circumscription known as the Diocese of Mamfe. By this one act, we can describe the people of Mamfe Diocese in the Words of St. Peter, “But you are a chosen race, a kingdom of priests, a holy nation, a people to be a personal possession to sing the praises of God who called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were a non-people and now you are the People of God; once you were outside his pity; now you have received pity.” ( 1Peter 2:9-10).

We are proud to be one family of God, a community of love. By means of this webpage, we hope that the bond of unity that binds all the sons and daughters of the Diocese of Mamfe is going to grow stronger and we shall be able to share our lives, or work, our aspirations and our dreams with the rest of humanity. History has put us where we are with a reason, and each one of us is called to play their role as if the success of the growth of the diocese of Mamfe depended on them alone, but we must also bond together very strongly keeping in mind that united we stand, divided we fall.

Whatever we are doing in Mamfe, wether as clerics, religious, consecrated, laity or people of good will, our one hope is to establish the kingdom of God on earth; “a kingdom of truth and life, a kingdom of holiness and grace, a kingdom of justice, love and peace”.(Preface on the Solemnity of Christ the King).

Finally, I want to quote here what I said to the people of Mamfe Diocese on the day of my episcopal ordination: “here I come, as your son, your brother, your father and your shepherd. From the valley of Mbetta, the hills of Bangwa, Mock and Mundani, through the Bayang, Ejagham and Nguti lands, the Boki, Anyang and Akwaya Forests, to the grasslands of Kalumu and Messaka Ekol, I am one with all of you. Like St. Augustine says, “With you I am a Christian and for you, I am a Bishop”. We shall join hands together to work so that Mamfe Diocese will be something truly, really and perpetually beautiful for God.
